Budget Brides Fall-in! Great Taobao Finds For Wedding!

Image
Hi guys! I was shopping a lot during wedding prep (far from being a minimalist before my wedding) and thought I should introduce the items I got from Taobao, Qoo10 and Daiso which I thought were value for money and have high cost performance! For this particular post I will focus on 10 items I got on Taobao so it doesn't get too long. Then I'll talk about Qoo10 and Daiso on the next. Do note that again I have no affiliations with these vendors and am introducing them based on my experience. Taobao I've been shopping on Taobao for 11 years since 2008. I was in Hang Zhou for immersion and that was where I opened the pandora box of Taobao shopping. When I came back to Singapore, I started using the third party purchasing agent EZBuy. I was with them since they started and were called 65Daigou, and bought a Prime membership with them where I only pay $2.99 each time for shipping. Sometimes I also purchase directly with Taobao sellers when I can't find the i

What to Pack In Your Emergency Bridal Kit.

Image
Photo from toptableplanner.com Hi all!  As titled, today I'll talk about the emergency bridal kit that every bride should have on their actual wedding day. I'll be listing down the things that were actually helpful to have and what I thought was useful but end up did not use. Please note that your bridal kit is not all that you need to bring for your wedding day. Bridal kit is just a bag of useful things you will need when you go around before you reach the hotel room. You will have a much bigger bag for other props and whatnot, while bridal kits come in all sorts of size, some has a big tote bag, while some only needs a small pouch. Things I Packed That Were Actually Useful: 1. Panadol ActiFast - You can easily get headaches due to lack of sleep and stress. 2. Very Small Bottle of Water WITH   Straw - So you stay hydrated and the straw will prevent your lip colour from smudging. Mine was a 200ml Evians. I do not recommend other drinks as they can i

Post-Wedding Review: Makeup Artist Rayce Low

Image
Today will be another vendor review!   For this post I will be reviewing on my makeup artist (MUA) Rayce Low. This is her Instagram , Facebook and she is currently under BeBlush Makeup Inc . I will also briefly talk about what to look out for during your makeup trials and for actual day makeup along the post.   Rayce was assigned to me as I signed a package with The Gown Warehouse, and chose BeBlush Makeup Inc out of all their MUA partners because the offer 1 free extra touch-up.   Though she has a really good portfolio on her Instagram now, Rayce was relatively new and didn't had much bridal makeup portfolio back then for me to browse. So I was rather worried at first (then why still choose right this greedy woman haha!). But now I am really glad I had her as my MUA.   Morning of my wedding day. Rayce was here at 5am. As mentioned in my review of my bridal studio , The Gown Warehouse, Rayce did both my pre-wedding shoot and actual wedding day makeup.

"Project Finally 58". Losing Weight Before Big 30!

Image
Hi all! How's your week so far? Today I will be writing about something non-wedding related for a change. But if you are trying to lose weight for your wedding, then maybe you can join me! I'm going to start a "Project Finally 58", or Project F58 in short, where I aim to lose weight till I hit 58kg. And I plan to achieve that before my 30th birthday, which is in May 2020. I set the goal as 58kg because it is my personal ideal weight and I know that it is the optimum for my height and body. I felt the best when I was 58kg. The lowest healthy weight I can go for my height is 51kg. But I don't think that is necessary. I want an aim that is healthy, achievable, and easy to maintain. I understand that numbers on the scale really does not matter much (btw BMI is not that reliable too), and that muscles are heavier than fats. But I just want to work on the cutting first. And maybe after that I can start working on my body fat percentage (and yep I have a

Post-Wedding Florists Review: Olive3 and Floristique

Image
Hi all! In this post I'll be reviewing the two  florists we engaged for our wedding decor and gifts.   Again, do note that I was not sponsored and engaged them as a normal customer. So rest assure that my reviews are honest! However this was my experience and I cannot guarantee that everyone will get the same. 1. Olive3 Olive3 was our church (OLPS) wedding florist. They are very experienced in doing church weddings and have discounted rates for some churches. Our coordinator was Lily. She responded to my emails very promptly and offered great advices. Their prices are also transparent without any hidden charge. When we met up with Lily, she provided a layout of the church and explained to us where will the different pieces be. As mentioned, Olive3 is very transparent with their prices. Lily even suggested where we could cut down to save money. Like flowers for alternate pews, use ribbons instead of more flowers to add colour accents etc. And after knowing I

(Edit: I understand this post was getting long and messy so I did some editing. To find out more about my florists, please visit this post .) Hello hello! In today's post I will be talking about the things and vendors I used for my wedding that has helped reduced my stress and saved me time. In my previous post I talked about my pre-wedding depression. After accepting it I started looking for ways to reduce my stress and save me some time. I hope this one will be much shorter than my other posts because I know you brides-to-be have no time to waste! Let's chop chop curry pok! 1. SingaporeBrides.com's Checklist/To-Do List There are plenty of such lists on the internet. But I found this one the most useful (thank you Singapore Brides!). Reason being that this is localised for Singaporean weddings and includes things that might not be available on lists done by someone overseas. So if you are wondering where to start, I suggest you save a copy of th
